Emporda Golf Course
Basic informations:
In 1989 a group of Catalan entrepreneurs, united by his passion towards golf and settled down in the Baix Empordà, decided to create a high level golf complex. To achieve the aim and due to its geographical situation and the ideal characteristics of the land, they acquired a piece of land of 125 hectare located in Gualta; A well-connected town placed in the hearth of the Costa Brava at north-east of Spain.
In order to get the ideal course, it was resorted to the best golf courses designer of the world, the north-American architect Robert von Hagge; Los Doral in Miami, Deepdale in New York, Horal CC in Japan, Seignosse in south of France… are a sample of approximately 250 golf courses designed by the architect.
Since then, Robert Von Hagge has created some of the best golf courses recognized as the best of the world and with the Empordà golf makes his debut in Spain.

At the Empordà Golf, Robert Von Hagge achieved improve the surrounding, fantastic by itself, planning a course technically perfect with a wide range of variety of blows and techniques used. In this way, the combination of the four nine holes camps in two different eighteen courses makes the Empordà Golf Course as one of the best golf courses of Europe.
The Empordà Golf course is made up of thirty six holes, distributed in two courses with eighteen holes in each one: one first course goes among dunes and lakes, like the best
Scottish golf courses, which is called LINKS, and the second one courses amidst between lakes and pine forest, called FOREST.
Hence, is the only golf course in the Costa Brava, which has 36 holes, distributed over 6 totally different courses, Each of them has been approved by the RFEG. All of them includes Birdie Tees to make it them more enjoyable and passionate:
1). LINKS: PAR 71 and 6.304 meters. Typical American design featuring fairways, flanked by dunes,
undulating terrain and 2 huge lakes.
2). FOREST: PAR 72 and 6.165 meters. Design based on the Mediterranean landscape, with wide fairways lined with dense pine forests.
